Privacy notice
This privacy notice explains the school’s approach to handling personal information for learners, parents and guardians, staff, visitors, volunteers, and service providers. It is intended to support transparency, align with South African privacy requirements including POPIA, and give parents a practical understanding of how information is used in a school environment.
The school may collect contact details, learner records, attendance information, medical and emergency details, assessment and support records, safeguarding notes where required, parent communication history, and operational records needed to run the school safely and responsibly.
Information is used for teaching and learning support, safeguarding and wellbeing, attendance follow-up, emergency response, school administration, family communication, reporting duties, and the lawful management of school operations. The school keeps access limited to authorised personnel and service providers who need the information to fulfil a legitimate school purpose.
Parents and guardians may contact the school office to request access to records, correct inaccurate information, ask how information is used, or raise a concern about privacy handling. The school will respond within a reasonable period and may request identity verification where appropriate.
